Receiving The American FFA Degree

Today I received the American FFA Degree, something I had never envisioned when I was an eighth grader. I couldn’t have gotten this far if it weren’t for the people who pushed me out of my comfort zone to become involved in FFA, the people who were with me in the ups and downs, and the people who supported me every step of the way.

For 6 years, 2 months, and 8 days I have been nothing but grateful for all the opportunities, experiences, and memories that FFA has given me.

“Endings are not a bad thing, an ending to a chapter means that another one is about to begin.” I am beyond excited to see what the future holds as I continue my education in agriculture and have new opportunities, experiences, and memories outside the blue jacket. The Blue Corduroy jacket may be retired now, but my heart and love for what it is will never retire.

Thank you first to God for allowing me to see today and have this opportunity. A thank you to my family, friends, Western Illinois University School of Agriculture, and the West Prairie FFA Chapter.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this amazing organization for the last six years. This degree means the world to me and this is the start of something great.
